trailer for ‘On the Road’

If this film is anything less than “so perfect it spontaneously births angels every time the credits roll”, I will hurt everyone involved.

No.

You know what.

No.

I don’t want anyone to go see this movie. If you want to know what it’s about, read the fucking book. And if this movie comes out and everyone suddenly thinks beat is the next new big cool bright thing, I will start a campaign to punch every single desperate faux-hipster convert in the fucking face.

Nothing is sacred. They should’ve just done a Kerouac biopic made up of parts from all his books. Each one is just a slanted look at particular moments in his life, his friends, his travels, his beliefs. Can you imagine someone like Terrence Malick making that? Although, it looks like they might try working in something biographical considering there’s shots of him typing the manuscript. Fortunately, I don’t think this movie is going to bring about a hipster beat-renaissance. But if it does, I shotgun being the campaign manager.

Meh.

There. I said it.

(edit, franklinmarshall, I just noticed your comment isn’t showing on the tumblr feed, but is still there on my blog - just so you know, there has been no deleting of your comment…!)
